Onboarding Process
A career with Bats Taxi Company is one that is both an exciting and enriching experience. Join a company that has served most of Pinellas County since 1981. You will be able to experience all aspects of the taxi industry, and be part of a team that strives to provide customers the very best in vehicle for hire services.

Base Requirements: [email protected] requires all drivers to be proficient in map reading and have a working knowledge of the streets and roads of Pinellas County. You must be at least 25 years old, possess a valid Florida drivers license, and have good English communication skills. Disqualifiers to [email protected] include, but aren't limited to, driving with a suspended or revoked license, speeding more than 30 mph over the speed limit, having 3 or more moving violations in one year, reckless driving, or any School Zone violations. Note that all applicants must submit to and pass a drug and alcohol screen upon application.
Our drivers are independant contractors who are compensated above industry average. The onboarding process (think Hiring Process for Contractors) is just 4 steps and will cost you $0 in out-of-pocket costs! Read more about each step and then go-ahead, apply today.
Submit your Information
First, tell us who you are, answer a few questions, and then email a photo of your drivers license to the [email protected] team. Apply online today.
Complete a written Test
Second, we'll arrange for you to visit our St. Pete office and complete a written driving test and a St. Pete area knowledge test. Don't stress, these are basic tests.
Get Screened & Licensed
Third, undergo a background screen and apply for a license if required. You'll also be screened for drug and alcohol. We'll walk with you through the process.
Get Trained!
Finally, we ensure you have the skills and confidence to transport our customers. Our team will professionally train and mentor you to [email protected] You will shadow one of our Sr. drivers then drive accompanied by one of our team.
